Apologies, Plank that I am forgot where to find event detector settings etc.

Also I've done a reinstall and the version number is now coming up correctly as 1.10.0

Thanks
Log files attached, I've also done a reboot just in case but it has not resolved either of the issues

Thanks

Keith
Hi

I seem to be missing Icons from the Application tool bar, ie Event detector & refresh.

I've upgraded to 1.10.0 but this has not resolved the issue. So somewhere else i have a problem with a setting.

Any ideas where I should look ?

Also I did a quick check after the upgrade and its still showing version 1:9.0, there was a minor error during the upgrade with a corrupt file (jfreechart- 1.0.11.jar) but as that has not changed since the previous version I don't think it shoud be an issue.

Thanks

Keith
Hi

I think if you want to set this up you need Apache on your webserver and use that to feed off of Tomcat they are designed to work together. I have tried this but failed miserably and went back to just accessing tomcat.

Cheers

Hi

From experience the best connector is the link45 as it can manage difficult cable configurations (See http://www.maxim-ic.com/app-notes/index.mvp/id/14.

I started with a USB one and it constantly gave trouble. I have found one wire networks to be a law unto themselves, working fine for a week then losing sensors for days without a change being made.

http://www.ibuttonlink.com/link45.aspx
or
http://www.homechip.com/catalog/

or

Hobbyboards http://www.hobby-boards.com/catalog/index.php who are quick and helpful witth all their bits

Cheers

Also have a look at these threads. USB 1 wire was not supported in the past

Onewire network issues

Can you get it to work with LogTemp ? and then test for a few days, the log file that it produces can be of some help ?

I have a network thats there sometimes and then not and sometimes only part of it. I've just bought a HobbyBoards Hub to try to resolve the issue.

Have you read this http://www.maxim-ic.com/appnotes.cfm/an_pk/148 ?
It may help

Cheers

Hi

I've just found your question. I've got about 30 temp sensors and some switches set up on a 1 wire network. I'm planning to control my complex heating system through it using Mango.

Getting it to be reliable is a right pain. Its very sensitive length and hoe the sensors are added. This article is very helpful
http://www.maxim-ic.com/appnotes.cfm/an_pk/148

If you want to do some testing to check the system is working either use the dallas software or LOGTEMP by mr soft both free

Here's my public view page http://www.bacwak.net:8080/public_view.htm?viewId=8

Which is a bit scrrewed at the moment as i have been playing with dials and buttons on it

Cheers

Hi

I run Mango on a low power pc along with security software and weather display. Upto version 1.6.? (currently i'm on 1.6.4 but I'm not sure when the problem started, it think version 4)I've not seen any issues, the processor averages around 50% load.

After the upgrade as soon as I try to view my main page Tomcat goes to 80%+ and flat lines the processor at 100% and it stays that way for 10 to 20 minutes, this then crashes the other software which then starts to auto recover making the situation worse.

I have a copy of 1.5.0 can I downgrade back to that? or will that create a whole other set of problems ?

Thanks

Keith
Although I paid for the commercial version i don't mind it being free as long as it keeps getting developed and supported.

Its a great product !!!

Cheers

Keith
Thanks I'll do that tomorrow
Hmmm this is what it says, This Mango version 1.6.0, but I did have issues with the upgrade.

I saved a copy of the root directory at the same level, as "copy of root" then over wrote the root with the new version. When I restarted it used the "copy of" directory to recreate the work directory. I then deleted the work directory again and the "copy of" directory and restarted tomcat.

I guess what you will say is that I need to reinstall

Thanks

Keith
Hi

I've just upgraded to 1.6.0 and since doing so i've lost all the components on the http://www.bacwak.net:8080/public_view.htm?viewId=8 page. They are on the guest page http://www.bacwak.net:8080/view_edit.shtm?viewId=8 page. (user guest PWD guest)

So what have i done wrong ?

Thanks

Keith
Thanks, I'll give that a try
Hi

I have a couple of problems, not directly with Mango but supporting it.

1. The database, how do I manage it ? Currently it is saying its 260 odd Meg in size. This is beacuse I had it logging a lot of data, I've cleared that down but that didn't reduce the size, not surprising as the tables probably have taken the space. Are there any tools available ?

2. Tomcat is taking more and more memory, currently 184MB. Have you any reccommended settings ?

Otherwise everything is working fine and has been for ages.

Thanks
