Hi,

after really nagging me as of version 1.8 I would suggest to modify checkCombo in header.js

This would refect the fact that mango is running on Firefox 3.5 on linux.

Arne
Hi,

if you want to build it with maven and/or Netbeans i can provide a setup-script (bash with symlinks) and a pom.xml.

Arne
So maybe implement at first the client into mango ;-) (one can use the get function to retrieve data from other (OPC-servers - which in turn could be simple devices...)
to have a testet client - and then do the server stuff.

what do you plan to use JAX-WS or Axis2?

Arne
Of course that would be no problem.
I think mostly german users would use theseI dont know how common Viessman is in other countries.

What do you need exactly and maybe a timeline?

Arne
So,

I got the basics of openv4j (see http://openv4j.sourceforge.net/) done. the sources are in a git repository.

Any chance to merge the the mango part into the mango sources?

Arne
What exact is your plan OPS server, client or both.

I looked at the Java6 implementation of the Web service or axis2 or....

if mango should act as a server we need a client first - I can test it against WinCC.
after that the server should be easily implemented.

Arne
Looks like a nice feature to me - settable data points in Http receiver

response with JSON or XML or plain format of get request?

Arne
Hi,

I got the same? error... the lib on ubuntu64 seems broken,, deinstall them and install manually the ones from:

http://rxtx.qbang.org.

I use the rxtx 2.2pre2, so you have to update the rxtx.jar in mango as well

Arne
What about OPC UA (xml and binary protocol) I dont know the licence restrictions for any?

And for software see www.opcfoundation.org, there seem many servers and clients for demo available???

Arne
Hi,

if I save a changed data point I will see the Message "Point details saved".
So if I change something afterwards, the message will not vanish - this is at least irritating end error prone.

Solution add a isDirty() on each page that the developer of that page can decide if the values are save in the database.

Maybe I could give it a try for datapoints.

Arne
Hi,

some UI-Design guides state that all labels should be left aligned and have a ":"at the end.
But at mango the lkabels are right aligned and the ":".
Are there any reasonf for this?

Arne
Maybe try using WinCC from SIEMENS that has XML-OPC capabilities - I never tested it...

I think you can grap a demo version vom your local dealer.

Or could you send me the code for initial testing?

Arne
No consider both as highly experimental...

Currently I work on openv read maybe write access.

If this is done I have to update the m-bus sources at mbus4j.sf.net to the latest specification (IEC).

Once this is done I plan to support primary adressing with no change of the data frame.
Later support for

* secondary addressing.
* rewrite JSP to make it more compact
* ability of changing frames.
* atmodem support (atmodem4j.sf.net).

My problem is currently that I have no direct access to m-bus hardware so this is mostly tested against dummys or mbus data from different readouts.

If anyone has access to hardware it will speedup development.

Arne
Thanks,

it works. (I will have to look better doing past and copy next time)

Arne
