Hi all

What does the "hardware option not available mean - is the device I have plugged in not supported - and is this a mango not supported or a wrong OneWireAPI not supported

I am running DS18S20 sensors and have no problem. I have never seen this error. It's not a 1-wire bus error since your hardware scan completed ok. Maybe a bad sensor? Also dont forget pin 1 and 3 need to be both grounded for parasite power operation.

Also curious of your DS2407....Are you using it as an input (like sensing a contact closure in the field) or as an output (using it to turn something on/off in the field) from Mango?

Yeah, that message is not from Mango. It occurred while trying to read values. (I.e. not during a write op.)

I would try using a program like LogTemp, One Wire Viewer from Dallas Maxim, or DDEView from Roso Controls. I have used all three at times to troubleshoot my network and sensors without Mango. If these programs run your sensor network, Mango should as well.
