1-wire - support for DS9097E as well as 9097U  XML

I have a DS9097E adaptor and not a DS9097U

Its not being detected - any ideas

(is detected by the OneWire Viewer from Dallas)

What O/S are you useing.
If XP you need to load the 1 -wire drivers from Maxim-ic.
http://www.maxim-ic.com/products/ibutton/software/tmex/download_drivers.cfm

The One wire viewer will work with out these.

If you can get around some Java coding, you can try this...

Go to com.serotonin.mango.rt.dataSource.onewire.Network, and change DEFAULT_ADAPTER_NAME from "DS9097U" to "DS9097E". Recompile the class and replace in your Mango instance. Restart and see if it work. If so, report back here and a permanent change will be implemented. I can't do this here because i don't have that equipment on hand.

Ignore this thread - the U and the E are irrelavant - it was my mistake - was running MANGO inside vmware - for some reason it will not communicate with any 1-wire devices

I have read about this elsewhere - something to do with the timing between the vmware image and the host

if any one has had any success with this please let me know

host = win2k
guest = ubuntu
